Future Multiverse, a metaverse-themed scheme, launched on December 31st, 2023, with a privately registered domain name and a website featuring largely non-functional links. The venture claims to operate through a "Dubai-based corporate ecosystem."

A guidebook hosted on GitHub lists the key figures behind Future Multiverse. Simon Voelk, also known as Simon Volk, is identified as the Founder and Executive Chairman. Stefanie Xu serves as Co-founder and COO. Farzam Kamalabadi is listed as Representative Chairman, Jeff Smith as Chief Compliance Officer, Helmut Oehrl as Chief Sales Officer and Advisory, and Stefan Breitzke as Chief Communications Officer. Voelk, reportedly from Germany, lists his residence as Singapore on his LinkedIn profile.

Stefanie Xu’s association with Voelk extends to FutureX, a collapsed cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme that used the FXTE token. The presence of Farzam Kamalabadi on the Future Multiverse executive list is also noteworthy. Kamalabadi previously appeared on ScamTelegraph’s radar for his involvement in Sam Lee’s StableDAO Ponzi scheme, where he held the position of non-executive Chairman. He frequently featured in StableDAO marketing materials.

StableDAO was a continuation of MLM crypto fraud initiated by Sam Lee through entities like HyperTech Group and HyperCapital. HyperFund, a major HyperTech Ponzi, collapsed in December 2021. Kamalabadi’s connection to StableDAO was linked to his partial ownership of the HOO crypto exchange. Funds from HyperTech investors are believed to have been laundered through HOO. The exchange suspended investor withdrawals in June 2022, approximately six months after HyperFund’s collapse. HOO itself collapsed about six months later, leaving investor funds unaccounted for. Sam Lee was indicted and charged by the SEC in January 2024 and remains a fugitive in Dubai.

Kamalabadi's involvement with Future Multiverse appears to be facilitated through his company, Future Trends Group. A statement suggests that Future Trends Group, led by Kamalabadi, connects Future Multiverse to a global network of approximately 400 million contacts. Kamalabadi’s online presence is contradictory, with his LinkedIn profile listing California as his location and his Twitter profile stating Beijing, China.

The claim that Future Multiverse operates through a "Dubai-based corporate ecosystem" is significant. Dubai has become a hub for scams and a lack of securities fraud enforcement has led ScamTelegraph to designate it the global capital of MLM crime. ScamTelegraph’s guidelines for assessing opportunities in Dubai are stark: any MLM opportunity presented by someone based in Dubai is likely a scam. Similarly, any MLM company claiming ties to or basing its operations in Dubai should be considered fraudulent.

The SEC charged Sam Lee with securities fraud in January 2024.
