Jobadiah Weeks, Silviu Balaci, and Joe Abel, three key figures in the BitClub Network Ponzi scheme, were slated for sentencing in March 2023. Their court dates, originally set for March 14th, 16th, and 21st respectively, have seen multiple postponements. Prison sentences are anticipated for all three, though not yet guaranteed.

The legal proceedings for the BitClub Network have been protracted. Matt Goettsche, another defendant, is contesting the charges against him. His case has been continued multiple times. Russ Medlin, also implicated, is currently incarcerated in Indonesia for unrelated child sex offenses.

Weeks’ legal team sought a modification of his bail conditions in August 2022, requesting a shift from home detention to a curfew. This would allow him to attend family events and visit properties within Colorado. Pretrial Services indicated agreement with this change, citing Weeks’ compliance. The prosecution deferred to Pretrial Services' recommendation. Weeks’ motion was subsequently granted.

However, the sentencing dates for Weeks and Abel were rescheduled on February 24th, 2023. Weeks’ sentencing moved from March 14th to November 14th, 2023, and Abel’s from March 21st to November 15th, 2023. No reasons were provided for these adjustments.

Balaci’s sentencing also faced delays. On March 6th, his March 16th date was pushed to November 16th, 2023, aligning with the postponements for Weeks and Abel.

Further delays followed. On September 19th and 22nd, 2023, Weeks’ and Abel’s sentencings were again rescheduled, this time to March 12th and 13th, 2024, respectively. Balaci’s sentencing was moved to March 13th, 2024. The case docket offered no explanation for these postponements.

By March 2nd, 2024, the collective sentencing dates for the BitClub Network scammers had been pushed to September 2024. Most recently, Weeks’ sentencing was rescheduled again for February 2025. The ongoing delays leave the final resolution of these cases uncertain.
